Digitally sign documents with Preview in Yosemite

Preview is a great built in OS X tool that can be used to digitally sign documents. This is an important tool for you and your clients to know as we head into a paperless, digital workplace.

Open Preview

Use Trackpad or Camera

Click on   Screen Shot 2015-04-21 at 5.00.31 PM to reveal signature tool. If on a Macbook, you are given option to create your signature on a trackpad.

You can also write out your signature on a white piece of paper and hold it up to you computer’s camera. Preview will read the signature and convert it to a digital signature.

Apply signature to document

Adjust your signature using the blue dots. Save the PDF, and you’re done!
