Managing Network Printers via Terminal

Printers. Managing them can be a bear. Here are some great tools that I have found useful.

Using this command will show you the list of printers that are currently installed on a machine:

 

Need to add a printer? Of course you do. To add a printer, issue this command in terminal after plugging in your own data.

You can find the driver for all printers in Library>Printers/PPDs/Resources folder.

So if I had a Ricoh Afico MP 6001 in my basement at static IP 10.32.89.88 it would look like this.
